Camporee:




Our ham club is regularly involved with several scouting activities throughout the year, most notably including
their spring and fall "camporee" events. During the camporee, one of the things the scouts are focusing on is
obtaining merit badges, several of which overlap with ham radio. We often host a fox-hunt, giving the scouts
a chance to learn about radio and practice their orienteering and rescue skills. We also usually have some sort
of construction activity to work on, or radios to operate.

It's a great opportunity for our club as well, as we can introduce the youth to the exciting hobby of ham radio.
